Tidying Up!

Tidying Up!

We’re serious about living our lives in a way that feels amazing…whether it’s the way we run our business, how we interact with friends, what we do as a family, or the little things such as where we love to go for walks. Everything we do is done with our attention and whether or not it feels good to us.

When we do something that doesn’t feel good, it’s a fantastic opportunity to realize we’ll choose something different next time.

I’ve been feeling the urge to get our house in order and clear out the clutter.

Jack went out and bought me the Fly Lady book and as he was buying it the person at the cash register asked him is he had heard about the book, “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” and told him it was selling like hotcakes. Of course Jack had to walk over and do a little reading (he LOVES to read) and quickly realized this was a book he needed to bring home to me.

We started reading it and quickly realized that this book was no accident and fit beautifully with how we live our lives.

The first thing we had to do was make a pile in the middle of the living room with every single piece of clothing, shoes, bags, purses, coats, etc. that we owned. Talk about a HUGE pile. Just seeing how much stuff we have was shocking. Picking up every single item, holding it in our hands, and asking ourselves, “Does this spark joy when I wear/use it?” If the answer was anything less than a resounding YES, it had to be released and donated.

It took us a few hours but we got it done and 14 bags later (all donated) we were delighted and surprised how good we both felt. Everything feels so much lighter in our house and lives.

Now that we’ve done the clothes, the next area we tackle will be our books. My, oh my, this is going to be fun!

In the not-too-distant future our entire house will have been drastically reduced and every single thing in it will be there for one reason only, and that is because it sparks joy in us.

We love living this way and I love the fact we get to do it together. I created a video of our magnificent pile of stuff (oh yea it’s messy) and how you can do this in your house and life too…

The minute you start clearing out the things that don’t spark joy, you’re life will become simpler and you’ll find yourself so much happier.

Live the life you love!

Peace out,

Tiff

Do you know her?

Do you know her?

I’m the person that has the rare privilege of knowing Tiffany Ann Rose better than most, on this lovely planet, and what a gift she is.

I’m the person that watches her do kitchen magic as she prepares love-infused food for those with hearts that ache with loss and grief.

I’m the one that hears all about the nights she lays awake sending healing energy to those that are in pain.

I’m the one that knows her deepest fears and insecurities, and no matter how afraid she feels she still shares her message without faltering.

I’m the one that understands how much physical pain she’s endured and gets up and does whatever needs to be done anyway (without complaining, I might add).

I’m the one that knows how deeply the words spoken by her teacher, “no wonder your dad left, you’re such a bad little girl,” cut into her tender 6 year old heart.

I’m the one that understands how the standing ovation she got for a song she wrote and played for the whole school at age 10 still stands as one of the highlights of her life.

I’m the one that knows what she felt as a 14 year old being chased and beaten up by a group of girls from church.

I’m the one that understands how sweet her heart is and the vastness of her love.

I’m the one that wakes to her dulcet voice and luscious touch every morning.

I’m the one with her undying support and endless encouragement to be true to myself even if it means going from Suzi to Jack…my God, where did this woman come from??!

I’m the one totally and completely smitten and captive to her elegance and beauty, and proud to say it.

And I’m the one that wishes for you, to have all your heart yearns for, including someone one as magnificent as Tiffany.

Love,

Jack

P.S. And I know with certainty that a joy-filled life is for you too, no doubt about it.

Why are you hiding?

Why are you hiding?

Are you willing to be seen?

Really and truly?

You may be like me and most everyone I know, and want MORE than you have right now–more love, more laughter, more money, more passion, more fun, more peace, more clarity, and the list goes on-and-on, but if you’re in hiding and not allowing your bright-yet-sometimes-messy-self to be seen, you won’t be found.

It’s time to remove the Invisibility Cloak.

Rip it off!

Speak up. Share your feelings. Don’t hold back.

Be you!

If the thought of this gives you anxiety, you can start with a tiny little baby step…simply become willing to be seen, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with how quickly the Universe says, “0k darling, I’ve been waiting for you to ask.”

No more hiding, please.

Let your light out my loves.

People are waiting to see you.

When you allow others to truly see you, you’re making a statement that says, “I am here and I have something to offer.”

Today, if you are willing to be a little vulnerable, allowing yourself to be seen a little bit more, go ahead and share with us one of your heart’s desires, we would love to hear from you.

You matter.

Kisses and Sparkles,

Tiff
